High School Senior Scholarship Policies
1. Students selecting out-of-state universities may apply.
2. Contributions to the Foundation of $100 or more may be earmarked for a specific school corporation in the county for a specific course of study. A contributor shall not name the recipient as a condition of his/her contribution.
3. Memorial scholarships will be studied by the executive committee at deadline time. After taking into consideration the amount of the memorial fund and the wishes of the family, the executive committee will make recommendations to the selection committee concerning the manner in which the fund shall be disbursed and the qualifications of the recipient or recipients.
4. A "gift of excellence" of $100 shall be awarded to each valedictorian and salutatorian of the three schools in the county and the culver school, if a Starke County student.
5. If a scholarship is awarded, but the student does not use it, that money may be awarded in the name of the Scholarship Foundation the following year.
6. Applications without financial statements will not be considered.
7. The minimum amount awarded to any one student shall be $200.
8. A student who has not applied to a college, but applies for a scholarship, will not be considered for a scholarship.
9. Twenty-first Century Scholars and Lilly Scholars shall be awarded not more than a $200 scholarship from the Starke County Scholarship Foundation.
